MTC Game Show Middle School Level Challenge One questions present the most basic test of mastery of the Multiplication Tables as they require accuracy and speed in recalling the facts of the tables. Excelling at this challenge requires poise and a sense of urgency.

MTC Game Show Middle School Level Challenge Two questions test the ability to multiply more than two numbers mentally by using the Associative Property of Multiplication, and/or the ability to perform multiplication by 10 and/or by 11.

MTC Game Show Middle School Level Challenge Three questions present the challenge of working out the solution to a multiplication equation. This requires both multiplication and division operations to solve.  Students are to be strategic in choosing the order of operations that ensures accuracy and speed in this task.

MTC Game Show Middle School Level Challenge Four questions test the ability to carry out the multiplication of a single-digit number and a double-digit number, and the multiplication of two double-digit numbers. Some of these questions require the clever use of multiplication facts, and properties in rearranging the factors of the numbers involved in generating an equivalent multiplication expression to the given one whose product is easier to obtain.

CHALLENGE FIVE

MTC Game Show Middle School Level, Challenge Five questions are presented as equations involving two multiplication expressions. In one of the multiplication expressions,  a multiplicand is missing. Students are to solve for the missing number that makes the equation true. These equations require multistep processes of multiplication and division to solve.
